Two New African Ambassadors Present Letters of Credence at White House

On Monday, June 27, 2016, two new African Ambassadors to the U.S. presented their Letters of Credence to President Obama at an Ambassador Credentialing Ceremony in the Oval Office at the White House.

They are:

* His Excellency Mohamedoun Daddah, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania

* His Excellency Essomba Etoundi, Ambassador of the Republic of Cameroon

The presentation of credentials is a traditional ceremony that marks the formal beginning of an Ambassador’s service in Washington.
